The Turks & Caicos is the exception that breaks a hardcoded clock. Almost the whole region sits at UTC−4 and never moves; this one observes daylight saving, so an offset written into the code is wrong here for half the year and right everywhere it was tested.

Money in the Turks & Caicos. The Turks & Caicos uses the US dollar outright, which removes the conversion problem and creates a different one: it is easy to assume the rest of the region does too. It does not — a neighbouring island an hour away may be on a pegged EC dollar or a floating rate.
Even here every amount carries its currency code. A field that is "obviously dollars" is the field that breaks the day the product crosses a border.
