BASIN · BM · BMD
Bermuda runs on the BMD, at par with the US dollar. A peg that stable tempts a team into treating two currencies as one thing, which is where the money bugs live.
Not decoration. Every one of them is a field in something we have shipped.

Money in Bermuda. Bermuda is on the BMD (BMD), at par with the US dollar. A stable peg is a gift and a trap: because the rate does not move, teams start treating the two currencies as interchangeable.
They are not. An amount is a number and a currency, and two amounts in different currencies added together are a number in no currency. We store integer minor units with a currency code, convert only at an explicit boundary, and never compare across currencies without converting first.
Four lines, one studio. The same stack builds all of them, which is why the hardware and the app talk to each other.
